The Plus 15 Sport Link adds 15 millimeters of rear ride height to your Gen-3 1290 Super Duke R. In addition to adding rear ride height this link also creates the following changes:

  • Increases swingarm angle from -11.57 to -12.33.
  • Decreases progressive nature of spring from 11.8% to 9.35%.
  • Increases free hang anti-squat from 108% to 112.7%
  • Decreases Trail from 107.7mm to 104.35mm

These changes create improved feel through turns.  More confidence.   The bike will hold a line better, drive out of turns better without going wide.   More anti-squat, created by better swingarm angle, will help drive the tire into the pavement more on acceleration giving you increased traction.  The decrease in progression will create a more consistent feel by cutting down on the drastic difference in the stock bike's reaction to suspension travel - when comparing initial travel to extreme travel.

For reference we run our SDR in full race setup with almost 30mm more rear ride height than stock.   Also in some configurations of sprocket combinations you can lose up to 9mm of ride height just by changing gearing.  So in cases like these, by adding this 15mm link you would only be raising your seat height 7.5mm higher than stock.

Depending on your sprocket choices, sometimes using a +20 could give you more ride height than you prefer.  So with the new +15, or the original +10 and +20 Sport Links, now you are covered to run any gearing you want, and still have a Sport Link that works for your preferences.

One of the best modifications I’ve done to the bike. Amazing what it does really. Had the bikes suspension set up properly aswell so it all helps.

Amazing!

I came off a 2018 RSV4 that had suspension dialed in for my riding style by a suspension shop. That bike had amazing front end feel and stability. When I first got my 2023 Superduke R Evo, I wasn’t impressed with the bike because it was such an odd feeling to ride. Stiff chassis but no feedback from the suspension or tires. I had no idea how much grip was available.
I found GoGo’s channel on Youtube and after watching many videos, I got the +15mm sportlinks. I reached out to him with an email and he advised me to get my suspension set up by a shop although it is an electronic suspension.

Last week, I got to test out the bike with and without the sportlinks with my new suspension set up. With the static damping settings, it was unreal how much of a difference these two orange doritos made in acceleration, mid corner stability, and corner exit. Acceleration is now just forward momentum and it holds such a crisp line. Also, dare i say that the front end feedback and grip feels better than the RSV4.

With the sportlinks on, I now love the feel and handling of the Superduke. I still wish I had the non-Evo but it is what it is. I’ll definitely be saving up to get the superclamps in the future to dial in the front end ;)

Big improvement

I recently installed the +15mm Sportlink on my 2022 KTM 1290 superduke R. It feels amazing, it improves the feeling in the turns, it goes exactly were you want it and it's not running wide when accelerating out of the corner. I'm happy with it, it is worth its money.

The difference was night and day.....

Hi Eric,

Just a quick note to thank you so much for the effort you put into creating the links. I finally had time last weekend to fit it, and go for a blast. The difference was night and day. Suddenly I’ve now got a bike that somehow feels like a smaller lighter bike, turns in, holds its line, and gives me the front-end confidence that was missing from day one. TBH, it now feels like my old Duke 890R, but with that monster of an engine.

Anyway, I can’t wait to get it on the track…..
