The KTM Super Duke is built for aggression, but the factory steering stops are a known weak point. One violent tank slapper or a simple low-side can snap those brittle metal tabs right off your frame. Once they shear off, your bars swing into the fuel tank, crushing your hands and destroying your expensive electronics.

Superstops are a sacrificial, energy-absorbing shield designed to take the hit so your chassis doesn't have to.

The Superstop Advantage:

Frequently Asked Questions

Why not just use the factory steering stops?
The OEM metal tabs are brittle. In a crash or a violent tank slapper, they often shear off completely. Once they're gone, there is nothing to stop your handlebars from smashing into your tank and crushing your hands or electronics. Superstops act as a sacrificial buffer to prevent that metal-on-metal failure.

Will these make my turning radius worse?
Only if you want them to. Because they are modular, you can choose how much steering sweep you want. If you do a lot of tight U-turns in your garage, use the thinnest setting. If you’re hitting the track and want to limit bar movement for safety, stack the blocks.

How does the "Dead-Blow" effect work?
Solid rubber or metal stops have a "rebound" effect—they hit and bounce back, which can actually make a tank slapper more violent. Our 3D-printed internal webbing is designed to collapse slightly and absorb the kinetic energy, deadening the blow so you can regain control of the bars faster.

Will the adhesive damage my frame or paint?
No. We use a specific vibration-resistant adhesive that creates a permanent bond for racing but can be removed with a little elbow grease and a plastic scraper. It won’t chip your powder coat or leave permanent marks.

Can I use these with aftermarket triple clamps?
Yes. They are designed to work with OEM triple clamps, KTM PowerParts clamps, and our own Superduked Superclamp. Since they mount to the frame spar rather than the clamp itself, they provide a consistent stop regardless of your offset.

Are they legal for racing?
Most racing organizations require functional steering stops. Superstops fulfill this requirement and are often preferred by racers because they don't snap off during a low-side, allowing you to pick the bike up and finish the race.
