Superclamp Development Update 1/29/26

As we all know by now the most impactful upgrade you can make to a Superduke, to any motorcycle for that matter, is rake and trail.   These two elements of any motorcycle setup create the greatest difference in how your bike responds to you.  How your bike turns in, how it rolls through turns, how it goes exactly where you want when you want, and the confidence you get from your front tire.   This is why I developed the Superclamp.   The best and only "Adjustable Trail" triple clamp kit made for the KTM 1290 and 1390 Superdukes.   Because Superdukes more than most other motorcycles out there, be they setup for the track or for the street, LOVE less trail.

Until today though, there has been one unfortunate element of any adjustable offset triple clamp made for any motorcycle, including the Superclamp  - we lose the steering lock feature.   This is because adjustable offset triple clamps offer you the brilliant opportunity to adjust the position of your triple clamp as it relates to your steering stem.  However in doing this you also "adjust" the placement of the steering-lock pin receiver on the triple clamp, which renders the locking feature unuseable.

UNTIL TODAY!

I have been diligently working behind the scenes to solve this unfortunate predicament and finally nailed it.   The solution is a new machined receiver feature machined into the back of the upper clamp, which allows the bike's OEM lock to work with the OEM insert setting.

For offset inserts greater than the OEM setting, like the +1 or +2, and all the way up to +7, I designed carefully shaped brackets that bolt to the upper clamp, from underneath, which effectively extend this locking feature.   With these special brackets the OEM steering lock feature of the Superduke now works again as it was designed to.

Today I am test fitting and locking each 3D printed prototype bracket with its respective insert set.   Soon as I have each design confirmed I will get them machined from super strong 7075T6 aluminum, and have them anodized black.

FYI, the are of this locking feature is mostly hidden under the tank body panel in the middle.   So you will not see these brackets or machined relief until or unless you use the greater offset inserts.  Then you will simply see the top edge of the black anodized brackets, which are pretty handsome actually.  :)

All Superclamps sold from this day forward will come with this machined locking feature, and two thread-tapped holes underneath to accommodate the bracket that fits your chosen offset.

How cool is THAT!!   :))

I am super stoked and I hope you are too.   Here are some pics to illustrate what I am referencing.

Ping me if you have questions about how we can accommodate these features on OG Superclamps purchased before today.   Because we have a way,
