What Jack Stands are Best With Superjacks, to Lift a KTM Super Duke?

If you are planning to perform your own suspension work or chassis setup, standard off-the-shelf jack stands often will not cut it. You need stands that are at a minimum 17 inches tall to properly lift the Super Duke clear of the ground.

The 16.5-Inch Problem

Many common jack stands only go up to about 16.5 inches, and when you place the bike on those, the rear wheel is often still touching the ground. This is especially true if your bike is already equipped with the WP Apex Pro shock, which is often topped out at a longer length by the previous owner or factory spec.

Why It Matters for Chassis Setup

If the rear tire isn't completely free, you cannot accurately measure your ride height or perform chassis adjustments — which ties directly back to the zero-weight measurement rule. Before you start your project, verify your jack stand height.

You will find yourself in the middle of a teardown unable to get the bike high enough to work safely if you skip this step. It is a simple check that saves a lot of frustration.

The Superjack is designed specifically for this — tall enough to fully unload the suspension on the Super Duke so you can work safely and measure accurately.
