Finally. A Superduke You Can Flat-Foot.

The KTM 1290 and 1390 Superdukes are some of the most thrilling motorcycles ever built.  But they're also kind of tall. For shorter riders, that seat height isn't just uncomfortable — it's a confidence killer every time you stop at a light, or even worse at a stop sign at the edge of a hill.

The Supershort fixes that. It's a purpose-built lowering link that brings the seat height down to where you need it.   Measured above the axle, the Supershort lowers the rear of your bike 20mm.   But your seat is not above your axle, it's forward of that.   So a good rule of thumb to consider how the Supershort affects your actual seat height is this:   65%.   The seat lowers 65% as much as the tail section does above the axle.    So 20mm X 65% = 13mm.   Your seat will be 13mm shorter.  The is great, but you can do even better by also lowering the nose of your Superduke by sliding the forks up 10mm.    This gets your seat almost 17mm lower than stock.

Here is an article that I recently posted in the "Shop Talk" section of this website, which talks about what else you can do to get your Superduke working better for you if you don't have legs as long as a Giraffe like the team at KTM.   :)

Laguna Seca Tested. By Someone Who Needed It.

We gave one to Rae — all 5 feet of her — and she put it through its paces at Laguna Seca. Not a parking lot. Not a back road. Laguna Seca. The geometry held. The confidence came back. The Supershort passed.

What You Get

  • Purpose-built lowering link — designed specifically for the KTM 1290 and 1390 Superduke R, RR, and EVO models
  • Real-world tested — validated by many happy customers, and also a 5-foot rider at one of the world's most demanding tracks - Laguna Seca.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this change how the bike handles?
Yes—for the better. And the greatest improvement of all is your new found confidence. Being able to keep your feet planted on stop signs, traffic lights, and especially intersections on hills - is where the Supershort will really shine for you. In addition to confidence building, the Supershort is designed to keep the handling nature of the Superduke in tact - while most other lowering kits make a bike feel unstable. When you follow my recommendation to drop the forks 10mm, and possibly even more, the bike actually tips into corners just as easy as it does off the showroom floor, and it feels more "planted" due to the slightly lower center of gravity - which is actually an advantage that riders with shorter legs get to experience.

Will the bike bottom out or scrape the belly pan?
No. We’ve tested this setup at Laguna Seca with riders of various weights. Under hard track riding, the bike maintained full clearance. The Supershort is engineered with a specific offset to ensure the control arm never contacts the shock, even at full extension.

Is this just a shorter version of the stock part?
It’s a bit more complex than that. If you simply shortened the arm, it would hit the shock body. I’ve engineered a custom offset into the solid metal part to provide the necessary clearance while achieving the 20mm drop. It’s a precision solution, not a "hacksaw" fix.

Do I need to change my kickstand?
In most cases, no. Because the -20mm drop is subtle and balanced by the front fork adjustment, the stock kickstand usually remains functional. However, always check your lean angle on level ground after installation to ensure the bike is stable.

Can I install this myself?
If you have a way to support the bike (like the Superjack), it’s a straightforward bolt-on process. No permanent modifications to your frame or swingarm are required.

Total Control. Zero Compromise.
