This Sport Link pair (available in both orange and black anodized finish) adds ten millimeters of rear ride height to your Gen-3 & Gen4 1290-1390 Super Duke R, RR, and EVO models. The Gen-4 EVO Sportlink includes a ride height sensor mount, carefully positioned to work seamlessly with the OEM electronic controlled suspension on the EVO model specifically.

In addition to adding rear ride height, the +10 Sport link link also creates the following changes:

Increases swingarm angle from -11.57 to -12.13.
Decreases progressive nature of spring from 11.8% to 10.2%.
Increases free hang anti-squat from 108% to 110.3%
Decreases Trail from 107.7mm to 105.5mm

The result of these changes to all of these numbers results in improved feel through turns. More confidence. The bike will hold a line better, drive out of turns better without going wide. More anti-squat, created by better swingarm angle, will help drive the tire into the pavement more on acceleration giving you increased traction. The decrease in progression will create a more consistent feel by cutting down on the drastic difference in the stock bike's reaction to suspension travel - when comparing initial travel to extreme travel.

For reference we run our SDR in full race setup with almost 30mm more rear ride height than stock. Also in some configurations of sprocket combinations you can lose up to 9mm of ride height just by changing gearing - because of the eccentric position necessary to adjust proper chain tension. So in cases like these, by adding this 10mm link you would actually still be 1mm LOWER than stock. This is why we also make +15 and +20mm links (see below).

Big Improvement

I was very impressed with the Sportlinks! I’m only 140lbs so I tried the plus 10. The whole bike feels tighter and more planted. Traction is better as I always had trouble with wheel spin. Front tire has better feel and super stable. Overall huge improvement.

Takes the laziness out of the SDR's steering

A brilliant upgrade that takes the laziness out of the SDR's steering. Being vertically challenged at only 165cm tall, 5' 5", I was nervous about raising the seat height, so I opted for the +10 SportLink. I didn't really feel a difference reaching the ground but it harder to lift off the sidestand so am glad I didn't go for the +15. I may go for the SuperClamp in the future instead.
I fitted the SportLink in October just in time for one of the wettest winters on record in the UK. That meant six months of wet roads, first covered in leaves from the trees and then mud washing off the fields on the back roads. That meant it wasn't possible to ride too hard on the back roads. However, the SportLink has removed the laziness from the steering making the motorcycle responsive. This is noticeable at all speeds from filtering traffic to flicking through a series of bends on local country roads. The rear shock also absorbs the bumps much better now so I rarely get kicked out of the seat - I weigh less than 65Kg or 10st.
Beware if you have an EVO. I have the EVO and wondered whether the automatic preload adjuster would still give me a level or sport ride - effectively giving me another 5mm. However, it doesn't, instead it raises the front preload to try and level the bike! Therefore, you'll need to set the preload between 0-100%. It is good to know the front preload is also adjustable. If the auto preload adjuster is important to you, it may be better to go for the SuperClamp first now that is available. I don't know whether KTM's sport setting alone will have all the benefits of the SportLink though...
The SportLink is the best bang-per-buck performance upgrade anyone can buy for the Super Duke R IMHO. 10/10.

I never would’ve guessed something so small would make such a big difference.

I bought the 10mm link and my first impression is “holy shit”

Installation took less than five minutes.
And the difference was noticeable immediately.

I didn’t think my bike handled terribly to begin with, but it definitely handles better now.
plus it hooks up harder, and with much less squat.

When it’s time to lean into the curves, the bike feels lighter and smaller than it actually is, and falls into the curves more easily and naturally

Holds a line better through the curves, even while accelerating.

I recommend this kit to anyone who wants their superduke to be more agile, and even more aggressive than stock.
Without a doubt, the biggest improvement in handling that can be made , for the least amount of money.
Its unbelievable, but actually true.

Superclamps do exactly what you expect!

I finally installed my Superclamp on my 1290 SDR using the +5 insert. These clamps have transformeddddd the bike. It handles like a 600cc bike now and I can't believe it! It feels a lot more flickable and lighter than it actually is and it's all thanks to the clamps. We have to thank Eric for for working on this and bringing the project to life! If you're looking to improve the handling of your Super Duke and get a lot more front end feel, these do the trick. It's easier to manoeuvre and holds its line better in a corner without running wide. I also feel like I can put the bike exactly where I want it to go and it does it.

I was going to use my +20 sportlink in place of using the Superclamp, but I didn't want to alter the ride height as I liked it exactly where it currently was at so this does just the trick for me. Maybe in the future I'll add a +10 link to compliment the Superclamp, but we'll see. All I can say is believe the hype because it's real.

Amazing R&D!

I absolutely love my new SuperDuked Shark Guard. The piece of mind of prevention of loss of digits is enough for the price, which is reasonable. However, when you consider the time put in to developing and testing to produce a solid product, I would have paid twice the price. Not to mention it looks amazing, especially next to the KTM Orange Kush Drive. I can not wait to get my SuperDuked Triple Clamp, Sport Links, and SuperStops. Keep up the good work GoGo.
