I installed the 15 mm Sport Link on my KTM 1290 Super Duke R, combined with a new 114-link chain and a 40-tooth rear sprocket. At the same time, I also fitted a Hyperpro steering damper, as I was never really satisfied with the standard steering damper and was already planning to replace it anyway.
I’m extremely happy with the result. The bike feels noticeably more agile, active and direct, while at the same time giving me more confidence when entering and riding through corners. It feels like the bike responds more naturally to my input and holds the line exactly where I want it to go.
The shorter gearing with the 40-tooth rear sprocket also contributes to the more responsive character of the bike. Altogether, these modifications have genuinely transformed the riding experience for me. The Super Duke was already a fantastic bike, but now it feels sharper, more precise and simply more enjoyable to ride.
I’m very pleased with the 15 mm Sport Link and would definitely recommend it to riders looking to make their Super Duke more agile and confidence-inspiring.
The first thing I ordered for my 1390 superduke after running one on my 1290, one the best mods you can do to your bike totally transforms it, and for the price it's a no brainer.
What a difference!!! Thank you Erik!! Truly a different bike, it steers more easily and holds its line. Accelerates much better thanks to the anti-squat. Really gives you so much more confidence to accelerate earlier and faster!! What did I do? Different gearing and chain, 16-39 with 114 link, chain, 10+ Superlink and a Superclamp with +3 insert 👌👌👌 Regards @Jeffs_bikerepair
Fantastic products, quality 100% For anyone who wants there Superduke taking to the next level.
I put the sport link +20 and man, this think changes the bike so much, this is by far the best upgrade i made on the bike. Im cornering fast and with much more trust, i can see that on the tyre treads. Thank you gogo
Hi Go Go ,
It work out really well mated perfectly with the upper clamp flange. Due to the super stops I had to open up the bat cave about 3mm to get the pin to engage, all good thank you!!
